Research Project
Advancing the frontier of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing.
Supervisor:
Dr. Geoffrey O. Okeng’o – University of Nairobi
My interest in physics is rooted in the exploration of quantum mechanics, motivating my pursuit of unravelling its intricate properties and harnessing its potential to redefine computing and technology. I specialise in quantum computing research and I am currently engaged in advancing the frontier of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing.
My research centres on quantum error correction codes, precise error modelling, and the investigation of fault-tolerance strategies, with a specialised focus on bosonic modes of quantum computation. The aim is to contribute towards the establishment of practical quantum computers resilient against errors in order to drive transformative progress in quantum computing technology.
